M&S 3 Pack of Baby Knickers (0-12 months), £9.00
So this week, we’re slowing things right down, and just bringing you five brilliant (relatively guilt-free) buys for us and our little ones. We just feel a bit ‘shopped out’ after Christmas and the sales, so although we’re ready for all the gorgeous new Spring/Summer things that are starting to filter through, we’re not quite ready to jump straight in just yet. First up, these adorable baby knickers (purely ornamental of course – but nothing hides a boring nappy more effectively in the Summer months than a pair of cute frilly pants). Buy now (they won’t be around for too long at this price for three pairs!), stash for later, or even wear now over tights with a cashmere sweater.

1. Oeuf NYC Panda Jumper, £56.23 (was £80.33)
2. Miller Baby Coat, £57.00 (was £95.00)
3. Il Gufo Pom Pom Hat, £36.86 (was £52.65)
4. Gap Organic Alphabet Onesie, £11.99 (was £19,95)
5. Mademoiselle à Soho Mittens, £12.31 (were £15.39)
6. Mango Ruffled Dress & Knickers, £14.99 (was £22.99)
Is there anything cuter than mittens on a string? We often buy matching hat, scarf or glove sets, but we also like to mix them up – these chunky knit ones are the perfect shade as they go with almost all other colours. Ditto this hat! Of all of the sales posts this one has been the hardest to edit as there’s so much sweet babywear out there. So indulge us a little longer and take a look at these other pieces that we have found: this Oeuf NYC cardigan; this Ketiketa jumper; these Oeuf NYC pants; this Mademoiselle à Soho dress; this Gap marl grey onesie; this Babe & Tess (early Valentine cuteness?) sweatshirt; and this

ps: the Gap alphabet sleepsuit/onesie is one of our best buys of last season. All three of our kids have one! So not just for babies – it goes right up to age five!
Stella McCartney Girl’s Peonie Days Of The Week Pants (2-8 years)
£68.00 SHOP NOW
What can I say? I know these are pretty pricey for girls’ knickers, but it’s the gorgeous ‘off’ colours, the beautiful embroidery, and the quality of the cotton that makes them so special. They would make the most gorgeous gift. M&S has done a more wallet-friendly version, which are also cute (and also come in a gift box). And of course, Gap also always do a great version of the days of the week pants. Tabs has these cat ones.
ps: talking of Stella McCartney, here are some great pieces that are currently on sale… This baby beanie hat (also comes in navy); this grey rabbit jumper; this super-cool dip-dyed denim dress; and these robot pyjamas.
Vertbaudet Pack Of 7 Girls’ Briefs (6 months-3 years)
I love the sweet designs on these girls’ knickers (and a different one for every day of the week). I’m very fussy (surprise surprise!) about Tabitha’s pants, and only buy the cutest ones I can find, but they also have to fit well (most don’t), as she’s quite little. And obviously cotton (these are 100%) is a must.
I also always buy/love the Mini Boden girls’ pants. Amazing quality and fit, and always such pretty prints and colours.

ps: La Redoute currently have an extra 10% off sale items, and and amazing 30% off everything else. Use the code: 8245. So this will apply to this post, and also the suede velcro boots I posted on Tuesday. As if we needed an excuse to shop…
Stella McCartney Kids Weekend Underwear (2-6 years)
This little box set would make the most adorable gift for a little girl. Or in my case (or rather Tabitha’s), a gorgeous little ‘reward’ gift for being so good with all things ‘toilet related’ (well, here’s hoping anyway…). 100% organic cotton Saturday and Sunday pants with the prettiest embroidery on the front. Too cute for words.
ps: I have the adult version (and all seven days no less!), and although a little on the skimpy side, I absolutely love them too. Although, just to be clear, they weren’t a ‘reward gift’ of any kind!
Mini Boden 7 Pack Of Pants
As far as I’m concerned, Mini Boden does the best girls’ knickers ever. I always buy them for Tabitha. They are not the cheapest, but in terms of great value they are hard to beat (I have chucked out so many cheaper pairs because they just end up looking tatty and grey after a few washes…). The designs are always super-cute (these striped ones are definitely my favourite this season, but Tabs also has the strawberry set), the fit is good, and the quality is great. They get washed A LOT, and always come out of the tumble drier looking as good as new. I also love the sweet little cloth bag that they always come in (I use them for keeping spare pairs in when I’m out and about with the twins). And the best thing about them? Tabs loves them as much as I do (this is becoming more and more of a rarity as time goes on…), and loves choosing which pair she’s going to wear each morning. Sweet.
ps: now from pants to platters. So many people have asked me for the exact details of the M&S sandwich platters that I mentioned a few weeks ago. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, they are a lifesaver for kids’ parties (and honestly, they really don’t work out much more expensive than buying everything and making them yourselves). Just order online, then collect from your nearest M&S store on the day of the party. Couldn’t be easier. So here you go: no mayo sandwich fingers.
