Leopard Print Mary Janes
I’ve been back from holiday a week now (although it might as well be a month!), and felt like sharing my recent Autumn Boden haul for Tabitha and Marlow (we’ll get to mine another day). Many of these things had been mentally logged from the Boden press day, back in May and these adorable Mary Jane shoes were top of my list for Tabitha. They are just so perfect. I love them! They look really expensive – everything about the design of these is totally spot-on. I also bought her (and one for Marlow too) this fisherman’s raincoat (it’s also great as it starts from baby sizes), this cardigan (I bought pink (it’s a good pink) this time, but I know I will be ordering a least one other colour soon enough), and this floral print onesie for bed. A slightly random mix of pieces I know, but I love them all, and so does Tabs. For Marlow I snapped up these boots (in grey), this sweatshirt, this zip-up sweatshirt (in grey) for those in-between Autumn and Winter days, and this hoodie. So not much variation there I know, but I also know he will wear them all on rotation through the Winter months. I definitely have my eye on various other pieces for both of them, and the new baby collection is just too cute for words (even more so than usual). Don’t worry, we’ll be sharing our favourites with you soon.
ps: whilst we’re talking Boden, I was on a shoot on Friday, and the art director was wearing this denim jumpsuit (which looked amazing on her – everyone was asking where it was from). And not only did it look good, it was so lovely and soft too. Now the original price was pretty steep for Boden (I think it was £170.00 from memory?), so even though I liked it, I never bought it. But now it’s been reduced to a guilt-free £39.80! Such a great bargain. The makeup artist on the shoot ordered one online then and there! And I think I may well be next… Oh, and size up for a slouchier (cooler) fit.
pps: I know quite a few people who have been struggling to buy swimwear for little ones for August holidays, as most places have now sold out. This Boden striped, frilled swimsuit that we featured a while ago is still available in quite a few sizes. And I just snapped up these and these for Marlow last week. He had literally worn his old ones out on holiday. Turns out that natural spring pools are the not the best for one’s swimwear..
1. Mango Sweatshirt, £9.99
2. Mango Sweatshirt, £9.99
3. Mango Sweatshirt, £9.99
It can be hard to find ‘character’ pieces that our children like (and we like!) which is why we (and you) loved the Boden dinosaur sweatshirt so much. We know how disappointing it was when it sold out (although having just checked ages 9-10 and 11-12 are now available). So, we’ve been keeping our eye open for something we like just as much; what a relief then to find these dinosaur sweatshirts. It’s the scribbled images that make them cooler than your average printed top. Plus they have helpful poppers which allows you to ease (rather than yank) them over your little one’s head. They’re available in 3 months-3 years, but don’t worry mums of older boys, Boden have recreated the ‘jurassic dinosaur’ print from their sweatshirt and made this fisherman’s hat (Bailey loves his) and these board shorts. Both are currently available in most sizes and are in the sale, but please be quick, otherwise we’ll have to start looking for replacement dinosaur hats and shorts too!

ps: on our pre-historic travels we also found these sleepsuits and Summer pjs….
pps: Bailey and Marlow also have (and love) these dinopants!

2. Miller Baby Coat, £57.00 (was £95.00)
3. Il Gufo Pom Pom Hat, £36.86 (was £52.65)

5. Mademoiselle à Soho Mittens, £12.31 (were £15.39)
6. Mango Ruffled Dress & Knickers, £14.99 (was £22.99)
Is there anything cuter than mittens on a string? We often buy matching hat, scarf or glove sets, but we also like to mix them up – these chunky knit ones are the perfect shade as they go with almost all other colours. Ditto this hat! Of all of the sales posts this one has been the hardest to edit as there’s so much sweet babywear out there. So indulge us a little longer and take a look at these other pieces that we have found: this Oeuf NYC cardigan; this Ketiketa jumper; these Oeuf NYC pants; this Mademoiselle à Soho dress; this Gap marl grey onesie; this Babe & Tess (early Valentine cuteness?) sweatshirt; and this

ps: the Gap alphabet sleepsuit/onesie is one of our best buys of last season. All three of our kids have one! So not just for babies – it goes right up to age five!

2. Woodstock Cat Clips, £16.00
3. Gap Cat Ballet Slippers, £10.99 (were £14.95)
1. Gap Glow-In-The-Dark Halloween Onesie, £10.99 (was £14.95)
2. The Contemporary Home Halloween Mask, £6.00
3. Gap Hi-Top Sneakers, £19.95
Between them, Marlow, Bailey and Tabitha already own pretty much everything in today’s post. Marlow has the onesie, and LOVES it (and it’s such a great price now). He wears it for bed, and is so cosy and warm in it. He also loves that the feet have grips, so he can charge around like a maniac in that window between bath and bed time and not slip on the wooden floor (while I’m reaching for the wine…). He also has the hi-tops (I always buy him one pair of expensive boots/shoes and one more affordable pair each season – this Winter’s espensive ones are these – look away Grandma!), pricey but well worth the investment) which he loves because the fit is really comfortable as he has quite wide feet (and is as fussy about how things feel as how they look!). And he will definitely be wearing the onesie with his hi-tops come 31st October. Bailey has the mask from last year (such a great price if you don’t want to invest too much on one night); and Tabs has the tutu (she would wear a tutu around the clock if I let her, but a black one is surprisingly stylish and easy to wear in an non dressing up way) and the kitty flats (who needs Chalrotte Olympia when we have Gap right?).
Here are some more spooky things we found for the girls – this Mouche crown with veil; this Candy Bows tutu and wings set; this M&S sparkle tutu; and these Gap pink glow-in-the-dark pyjamas (if you can’t persuade her into the cooler back and white pair).
And for the boys – how cool is this Gap embroidered skeleton sweatshirt? Definitely not just for Halloween. This Paul Smith Junior glow-in-the-dark sweatshirt; this M&S vampire costume; this John Lewis two pack of glow-in-the-dark pyjamas; and this super-stylish Numero 74 super hero costume.
And we haven’t forgotten the babies (why should they miss out on all the fun?). Check out this Little Eleven Paris bat set; these Stella McCartney Kids glow-in-the-dark pyjamas; this M&S skeleton print onesie; this Gap bat beanie; and this John Lewis skeleton sleep suit.

The Little White Company Lottie Sleepsuit, £15.40 (was £22.00)
The Little White Company Flannel Check Baby Sleepsuit, £26.00
One of my favourite times when the twins were babies was that gorgeous post-bath, cosy time just before bed. They always smelled delicious; were cuddly and snuggly, and happy to let me dress them in something cute and cosy for the night. Once you’re out of the ‘white sleepsuits around the clock’ phase (a particularly confusing time for Tom, as he often struggled to tell the twins apart, even though he denies it now!), you can start indulging in purchases like these. I mean, could they be any cuter?
