George Contrast Sweater (5-11 years)
Marlow is currently obsessed with grey sweatshirts (can’t think where it’s come from…), and refuses to wear anything else (on his top half anyway). Although a little frustrating (getting two three year olds dressed in the morning just got that little bit more challenging), I do realise that it could be a lot worse (he could be insisting on wearing a pink tutu every day?). And obviously, you all know how much I love a grey sweatshirt (as far as I’m concerned you can never have too many, no matter what your age). So my current mission is to find different variations of the classic marl grey version. I love this one because it has not one, but three tones of grey, ranging from pale grey to charcoal (with a touch of mid-grey on the shoulders – nice detail). I love it, and surely Marlow will too. I will let you know.
£7.00 direct.asda.com

ps: I also love (and have bought) this one and this one from Mini Boden for Marlow. The towling one also comes in navy, which is fab too (um, yes, he has that one too). I think that’s Marlow’s obsession covered for the time being…

Little Bird By Jools Gingham Romper (0-12 months)
This adorable classic style baby romper is so, so sweet. It could have come from an antique clothing shop. I love the retro gingham fabric, and the cute (and comfortable) bubble shape. And I always love a bit of smocking. Tabitha had a similar one when she was a baby (a gorgeous ladybird printed one from Gap), which I absolutely loved her in. They look great with a pair of simple sandals and a little cotton cardigan if it gets chilly. And this one is 100% cotton, which is always a good thing. Love.

Win Green Striped Wigwam
I was obsessed with finding the perfect teepee for Tabarlow before Christmas. Obsessed! It had to be cool and tasteful, and ideally in a ticking stripe (I know, I know…). In a nutshell, I wanted one that looked great (and it did, in the middle of the living room for a while…), but was obviously still fun for the twins to hide and play in (and large enough to house two small people comfortably of course). And believe me when I say that no stone was left unturned in my quest. Now this one was definitely not the cheapest, but it was definitely the nicest. It is pretty big though (I tend to forgot to check measurements of anything I buy online, which has got me into all kinds of scrapes with all manor of things, which I won’t bore you all with now…), so check out the dimensions on the website. You can also buy the matching quilt for the floor of the teepee, which although an extra cost, was a really lovely finishing touch. But to be honest, you could just lay a few mismatched quilts and blankets down for an equally lovely, cosy effect. There is currently a waiting list for this one, but you can pre-order now, which I would definitely recommend. And if you’ve already started searching for the perfect teepee yourself, you can call it off…
£120.00 wingreen.co.uk

Vertbaudet Baby Boy Denim Hooded Parka (1-18 months)
Another post, another rubbish weather day (apologies if you don’t live in South-East England, but I hope you’re having better weather where you are?). You daren’t leave the house without some kind of hood these days, but you don’t necessarily want a really warm, Wintery coat attached to it. And if you feel like giving your (yellow, obviously) rainmac the day off, here’s a great option. It looks like denim, but it’s actually a lighter weight, and 100% cotton. I love the little pockets, and the fact that the hood is detachable (if you’re feeling particularly brave!). And you may not be able to see it, but the lining is marl grey. How much more perfect does this get? It might as well have been designed for Little Spree!

George Slogan Print Jumper (1-6 years)
I’m not normally a fan of gimmicky slogans on clothes, but I really like this jumper, and could definitely see Tabs wearing it. It’s hard to see from the picture, but it’s a chunky metallic knit (so on-trend!), and would look so cool worn with navy and white striped leggings (they are a real staple in Tabitha’s wardrobe, as they go with pretty much everything – I picked up a great pair from Old Navy when I was in New York recently). And it makes me think of my own ‘Ginsberg is God’ slogan jumper from Bella Freud, which I have had for years, and still love (although it’s definitely on its last legs…). This one has more of a Markus Lupfer feel to it, and that’s ok by me…

Vilac Toy Guitar
If you’ve been an avid follower of Little Spree for a while now, you may remember this cute red piano that I posted back in April last year. It is still one of the best gifts Tabarlow have ever received. And honestly, they still play with it virtually every day. And the same goes for this guitar (they were given the piano and the guitar to share as a first birthday present from their nanny). And I still love them too. They both have prime position in their bedroom, and have outlived most of the other toys/presents. And I have to say (amazingly), they both still look as good as new. The guitar actually has six musical strings, so no need to cover your ears when the kids start strumming (definitely a bonus!). And it still amazes me what a great price it is for such a lovely, stylish, beautifully made toy, and one that you don’t mind tripping over occasionally…

Little Bird By Jools Breton Striped Shorts (6 months-5 years)
It may be Winter outside (I dusted off the black opaques today – so depressing…), but I’m going to carry on regardless. I have to remain ever hopeful that at some point, Marlow will be able to wear a pair of shorts this year. And I love this striped jersey pair from the Little Bird collection (still going strong, and still doing some great pieces). Maybe he could wear a pair of Tabitha’s knitted tights underneath?
£6.00-8.00 mothercare.com

ps: I have already given his (warmer) Winter coat to a charity shop. I was clearly a little hasty. Might have to buy it back!!

H&M Baby Hangers (pack of two)
I love a bit of a H&M Home (if you haven’t checked it out, you have to – it’s really fab), and the baby and kids’ collection is growing all the time (just bypass the pink leopard print…). How sweet are these hangers? I also love (and bought) these ones from Cyrillus. And It’s never too early to start hanging up your little one’s favourites pieces (or rather, yours)…
